Pivoting my business had its challenges, but at the same time, it was necessary. I want to encourage other solopreneurs that it’s OK to pivot. Assess what it is that your business is lacking, be it a target market or underutilized skills. But above all, change your mindset about what services you want to offer and grow from there.

To find your target market, look to see where they are and what social media platforms they are on. Are they on TikTok, which is the popular platform nowadays? Are they still on YouTube, are they on LinkedIn, or are they on Facebook? Find them and go and market towards them.

When I came up with the business name Jameela Adams At Your Service, I wanted to make it a little bit cheeky yet to the point. I wanted to personalize my services and give my potential clients a consulting/web design experience to make them feel at ease. I have found that my approach was disarming and encouraging.

Turning 50 has allowed me to explore things I've always wanted to do. I’ve permitted myself not to give a **** about what others think about me. I don't necessarily have a bucket list, but I did start my business. I wrote a book. And I started a podcast. So, these are just a few things I’ve accomplished.
So, my challenge for you this week is if you are over 50 or whatever, what have you found yourself wanting to do that you are now permitting yourself to do? Is it writing your novel? Is it going skydiving? No shade. I would never do that.

What's Imposter Syndrome?
What is imposter syndrome? According to clinical psychologists Pauline Rose Clance and Roxanne Imes[1],It is a condition where you feel anxious and not experiencing success eternally despite being high-performing and having external objective ways. This condition often results in people feeling like frauds or phony and doubting their abilities.
I feel so strongly about this issue because, as women, especially those in the corporate world or entrepreneurial space, we tend to overthink, overachieve, and sometimes give up. After all, we don't feel we measure up. Here are some of the ways that imposter syndrome does show up.
